Everyone knows that a drink is nothing more than a liquid intended for drinking. The basis of most beverages consumed by humans is water. Water itself is a beverage and is consumed both pure and carbonated or mineralized (both extracted from natural mineral springs and with additives).

Alcoholic beverages include:
Wine – alcoholic beverage obtained by full or partial alcoholic fermentation of grape juice.
Beer – a low-alcohol beverage obtained by alcoholic fermentation of malt wort with the help of beer yeast, usually with the addition of hops.
Cider – low-alcohol beverage, usually champagnized, obtained by fermentation of apple, less often pear or other fruit, juice without the addition of yeast.
Mead – alcoholic drink made of water, honey and yeast with various flavors.

Spirits include:

Brandy – An alcoholic beverage, a general term for the products of distillation of grape wine, fruit or berry brogues.
Calvados – apple or pear brandy, obtained by distilling cider, from the French region of Lower Normandy.
Whiskey – a flavorful alcoholic beverage made from various grains using the processes of malting, distillation, and long aging in oak barrels.
Vodka is a colorless water-alcoholic solution with a characteristic odor. The strength of vodka may be different: 40,0-45,0; 50,0 or 56,0 vol.
Grappa – Italian grape alcoholic drink. It is made by distillation of grapes after they are pressed in the process of making wine.
Gin – made by distillation of wheat alcohol with the addition of juniper, which gives the gin its characteristic taste.
Cognac is made from certain grapes by a special technology.
Liqueur – flavorful, usually sweet alcoholic beverage made of spirited fruit and berry juices, infusions of aromatic herbs with addition of roots and spices.
Rum – made by fermentation and distillation of sugar cane byproducts, such as molasses and cane syrup.
Samogon – made by distillation through homemade or factory-made apparatus of alcohol-containing mass (brogue), resulting from the fermentation of sugar syrup, sugared cereals, potatoes, beets, fruits or other products that contain sugar and sugared starchy substances.
Tequila is made from the core of the blue agave (asparagus family), a traditional Mexican plant, by distillation.

Carbonated beverages
Champagne is a sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France from established grapes by secondary fermentation of wine in the bottle.
Sour cabbage soup (sour chty) is an old Russian honey-malted strong carbonated non-alcoholic beverage. The main technological difference from kvass is the infusion of the original wort and premaraturation in sealed bottles.
Coke drink is a type of carbonated sweet drink that often contains caffeine. The name comes from cola nuts, originally used by beverage makers as a source of caffeine.
Tonic (from the English tonic – tonic) – a bitter-sour, non-alcoholic carbonated drink. It is often used to dilute alcoholic beverages, especially gin, and to make cocktails.
